Go Get Your Blessing

So, you’re the brainiest beauty behind your business but YOU don’t have a vision. Or a fourth chair for your hand-me-down dining set. But your coworkers are purchasing $2,500 purses and traveling to exotic lands.

Why is everyone but you living luxurious lifestyles?

What do YOU want?

Let me throw a dart into the darkness and take a guess.

  • Happiness
  • Money
  • Success

What do happiness, money and success look like for you, and what are you doing, specifically, to get them? Do you have a plan? Heck, I’m not even talking about the infamous five-year plan. I’m talking about the THIS YEAR plan, the 120-day plan or, for the true commitment-phobes, the RIGHT NOW plan.

Enough is enough! Aren’t you tired of kicking and screaming and crying and stressing and punching and cussing because you’re working your butt off only to watch someone else celebrate and take YOUR blessing – again?

Hello, that’s a wake-up wallop to your uncommitted ego.

Stop making excuses and go get your blessing. Take some tips from successful people.

1. Know What You Want.

Successful people can SEE the end goal. They have a vision and have done the necessary research to know in their knower what they want. There’s a good chance they’ve received a word or a sign or some type of confirmation that put the stamp on their dream, and that’s all they needed.

Most people have the desire to do something big at some point in their lives. For a lot of us, the challenge is identifying WHAT that something is. This is especially true for goal-oriented people who cross off all the items on one list, and then get lost in the woods of wonder-what-comes-next land.

2. Delegate.

Successful people know how to delegate the tedious tasks so that they can focus on the critical tasks. They work smarter not harder.

3. Be Relentless.

Laziness and intimidation have no real estate in the upward-moving market. Successful people will stop at nothing to make things happen. They have sticktoitiveness because they know delay doesn’t mean no.

4. Access Resources.

Don’t be fooled into thinking you don’t have resources. You’re reading this, so you obviously have access to the Internet, where INFORMATION about everything is available. The benefit to not being able to buy your way to completion is that YOU LEARN HOW TO DO IT.

“Stop waiting for what you want and start working with what you have.” – Rick VanWagner

If you have a shovel, dig. If you have an oar, row. If you have a keyboard, type.

5. Measure Results.

It’s not enough to just do the work and cross off the task list. Somehow you have to measure your work and track it. What’s the ROI of your project(s)? Ask for feedback, conduct a survey, create a Gantt chart, check your stats, stalk your analytics, do whatever you need to do to stay on top of it and document it. You need it, your team needs it and your customers need it to move forward with your goal.

6. Exercise, Eat and Sleep.

To keep those mind juices flowing, keep your endorphins in check. Take your behind to the gym and DO WORK. I’m talking about the type of work where you leave your phone in a locker with your lip gloss. GO GET DIRTY. I can’t promise you’ll high-five your scale and prance in your new size 0 pants (which I’m not advocating, by the way. I like big butts and I cannot lie.) I can promise, however, that if you go at it hard, your mind will be focused and racing with ideas when you strut out of there. And you’ll feel like a beast, which is always a plus.

I can also promise you’ll want to detour from the drive-thru after you leave the gym. Call me crazy, but training at the gym does affect your appetite … or at least your attitude about your appetite. But eat something (healthy).

The most important thing listed here is the “S” word. Hear me when I speak this through your screen: YOU NEED SLEEP. Get to bed at a decent hour. No questions asked. No compromises. Clear your mind and give it a break from the chaos. You can’t function fully without being rested.

WHAT DO YOU WANT?

It’s time to take back your stuff and quit watching others soar. Get in on the action. Grab YOUR happiness, money and success. Leave a comment and tell me what you want. No, seriously. I want to know. I’d love to be your accountability partner and fist-bump you for meeting your goals, you big-booty beast.

In the meantime, feel free to watch this video for inspiration. Apologies for the language if it offends you.
